The American standard butterfly valve is a high-performance butterfly valve designed and manufactured according to the current American standard API609. The valve adopts a three-dimensional eccentric conical seat sealing pair, and the butterfly plate seal uses a new type of metal plate embedded on the butterfly plate to match the valve seat.
The American standard butterfly valve is a three eccentric butterfly valve, which third eccentricity formed by the eccentricity of the stem axis position of the double eccentric valve, and the deviation of the center line of the conical sealing surface from the valve center line by an angle. The first two eccentricities reduce the friction between the valve seat and the sealing ring, causing the valve seat and valve plate to detach from contact after approximately 15 degrees of opening. The third eccentricity completely disengages the valve seat and valve plate throughout the entire valve stroke, and the contact between the valve plate and valve plate is only a momentary moment during sealing.
This structure greatly reduces the friction between the valve seat and valve plate during the opening and closing process, reduces wear, and extends service life; Due to the reduction of friction, the operating torque of the valve is reduced, and smaller actuators can be used to reduce the labor intensity of workers; its sealing being achieved by squeezing between the valve seat and the sealing ring on the valve plate, the higher the torque, the higher the sealing level. If the valve structure design is reasonable, it can achieve extremely high sealing effect, and reasonable design of the sealing contact angle can eliminate the possibility of valve jamming, therefore, it improves the reliability of operation; 5) Compared with general butterfly valves, three eccentric butterfly valves use metal seals to overcome the weakness of soft seals and have a wider range of applicable temperatures.
